Sponsor a Rootstock Fellow

No matter the reasons you choose to give — personal connection to a cause, dedication to the mission of a particular nonprofit, or a desire to make a positive impact in your own community — you want your gifts to be as effective and possible. The Rootstock Project aims to amplify the impact of your investment in an exciting new way.

As a philanthropist, you understand the challenges facing the social impact sector today. Advanced business expertise is increasingly important to nonprofit organizations as they seek new opportunities to advance their mission. But few nonprofits have access to mission-driven MBA graduates, often because of salary constraints and lack of on-campus recruiting presence.

You can provide this access by sponsoring a Rootstock Fellow.

Your tax-deductible sponsorship of a Rootstock Fellow opens the door for one of our partner organizations to have equal access to high-caliber, mission-driven job candidates with advanced business degrees. Their knowledge, expertise, and passion for social impact will be invaluable assets to the nonprofit organization and the community it serves.

With your generosity, The Rootstock Project can:

  • Work with one of our nonprofit partners to define a capacity-building role for the organization, to be filled by a Rootstock Fellow.

  • Identify mission-driven MBA students through on-campus recruiting — an area where nonprofit opportunities have not traditionally had equal visibility.

  • Supplement the Fellow's salary to bring it in line with entry-level compensation in the for-profit sector.

  • Measure the impact of your sponsored Fellow on his or her organization with an eye on sustainable capacity-building.

  • Engage in the Fellow's professional development to foster a long-term commitment to social impact.

We'd love to discuss how your gift to The Rootstock Project can make an even bigger difference the area of social impact you care about most. Lets set up a time to talk — simply complete the form below or click here to send us an email.

One top MBA program reported in an incoming class of 450 students, "social impact" was the second-most popular industry target for post-grad employment. When the same group graduated two years later, only seven students accepted roles in the field of social impact.

Your sponsorship will provide opportunity to a mission-driven new grad and amplify the impact of a nonprofit organization.

Thank you!
