Learn More About Becoming A Rootstock Fellow

As an MBA student, you will soon face a career-defining decision: Do you choose a path of social impact, where you'll make a difference through causes you're passionate about? Or will you pursue less-rewarding opportunities due to the mounting pressure from student loan debt and the comfort of securing a job well in advance of graduation? You probably already know the answer.

We believe nonprofit organizations deserve equal access to mission-driven MBA graduates like you, and — thanks to the generosity of our donors — The Rootstock Project can remove obstacles that may otherwise prevent you from pursuing a career in the social impact sector.

Here's how it works: If you're selected to become a Rootstock Fellow, we will...

  • Match you with one of our partner nonprofits — based on their needs, your areas of interest, and your expertise — for a two-year fellowship.

  • Supplement your salary to make it competitive with entry-level MBA compensation in the for-profit sector.

  • Measure your impact on the organization, with an eye toward sustainable capacity-building for the organization.

  • Engage in your professional development to foster a long-term commitment to social impact.

Your business expertise is increasingly valuable as nonprofit organizations seek new opportunities to advance their mission. The value you can bring to one of these organizations will help fill those gaps.

Start your career by making a difference. Simply complete the form below and we'll reach out to you, set up a time to talk, and begin the application process. We're excited to hear from you!

In a Stanford survey, 52% of nonprofits reported they are hesitant to scale their impact because they are not confident in their strategic thinking capability. Your business expertise could be a difference-maker for one of our partner nonprofits.
